2018 Honda Civic Coupe
Honda is preparing new models for 2017 and 2018 year. While presentations of the vehicles for next year already started, these which will appear a year after are still being a subject of rumors. One of these is 2018 Honda Civic Coupe, which is part of 10th generation of Civic hatchback. We could already see what to expect, since platform was presented some time ago. Every next car show could bring few information about upcoming Coupe. We expect the most of them to be announced during auto show in New York. As time is approaching to official release, we could provide more details about interior, exterior and performance.
2018 Honda Civic Coupe engine
Under the hood of the 2018 Honda Civic Coupe is only one engine. As we have heard, it should be 1.5-l 4-cylinder drivetrain which is used by some of the vehicles in current Honda offer. Other power sources weren’t mentioned, but we can’t exclude changes here. However, if 1.5-l engine takes position as powerplant of the 2018 Civic Coupe, its output should be around 180 hp and 160 lb-ft of torque. Drivetrain is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox in base variant, and automatic Coupe could be purchased. Also, CVT transmission is mentioned, but we think it is not going to be paired with this unit.
2018 Honda Civic Coupe redesign
Although platform could be seen, this car is far away from final look and production model. That means we can’t see it in street testing, and most details are still hidden. Nevertheless, radical changes are unlikely to happen. It is more certain for designers to make 2018 Honda Civic Coupe more aggressive, by redesigning front bumper, enlarging wheels and revisiting exhaust tips, which are going to be mounted at center of the tail.
2018 Honda Civic Coupe release date and price
There are no official information about regular Civic model, and we are sure that Coupe will follow its release. The 2018 Honda Civic Coupe is going to be offered to buyers that look for excitement and some more infotainment fun and comfort. Priced above regular Civic, new Coupe version could be launched during late spring or early summer of 2018.
