Honda is preparing its new 2015 Crosstour SUV vehicle for next generation. This car will be part of mid-cycle refreshment and won’t be changed a lot from 2014 year model. One of the biggest competitors in this class would be 2015 Subaru Outback. Crossover from Subaru is one of their best selling models, with excellent handling, fuel economy and price. 2015 Honda Crosstour vs 2015 Subaru Outback – engine
The 2015 Subaru Outback will carry over the same options as its predecessor. Two models are offered, 2.5i and 3.6R. First one will get 2.5-l four-cylinder powertrain with output of 175 hp. Stronger, 3.6-l V6 offers 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. Both options are paired with Lineartronic continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). On the otherside, 2015 Honda Crosstour gets either 4-cylinder or V6 powertrain. Smaller one has output of 192 hp and is mated to 5-speed auto gearbox. Other engine, 3.5-l V6 is newly developed from Honda and it is called Earth Dreams. It is capable to deliver 278 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque. Transmission is 6-speed auto, with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

Although driving of their sedan vehicles is great, Honda decided to go with longevity of 2015 Crosstour. Vehicle kept double-wishbone layout as its predecessor. Other Honda vehicles are more tunable for ride and handling, but 2015 Crosstour has fixed performance. However, it gets some driving assistance in front and rear stabilizer bars along with a front strut tower bar. Also, steering is hydraulic-assisted with electric-assist systems which could be found also in Accord vehicles. The 2015 Subaru Outback also has electric-assist systems. Many other features are included – brakes get an upgrade, discs on brakes are ventilated, Hill Descent Control and Hill Holder mode helps drive 2015 Outback on tough terrains.
