2014 Honda Interceptor

Honda Interceptor, also known as VFR 800 is Honda’s motorcycle which was originally launched in 1998. It is a part of Honda’s VF and VFR family of bikes. It has a powerful V4 engine and it is known for its versatile characteristics. It belongs somewhere between touring and sport bike class. On the one side, this bike has pretty much heavier construction and more upright ride position than pure race bike while, in the other side, it is much more aggressive than a classic touring bikes. This mid-class is often called a sport touring motorcycle class.

The newest 2014 Interceptor had its own debut in 2013 EICMA show in Milano, Italy. It is an eight generation of this bike and it features many novelties and improvements. The 2014 Honda Interceptor features new single sided exhaust system, lighter wheels and additional weight reduction. According to company’s spokesman, new model is 22 pounds lighter than its predecessor. New 2014 Honda Interceptor also features new, better aerodynamics bodywork and LED lighting. It also has adjustable seat and new electric instrument panel. It is also equipped with self-canceling turn signals, which means that signals will be automatically turned off after they detect that you’ve completed a turn or a lane change.

Interceptor is well-known for its versatile performances. It is designed to be extremely fast both in curves and open road. Just like previous models, 2014 Honda Interceptor will be full of power. The engine is the same 782 cc liquid cooled V4 engine which makes over 100 horsepower. This model is equipped with several hi-tech features such as VTEC Valve Trains. This means that you basically have to engines in one – when you are in low RPM’s, only two valves per cylinder are running, but when you reach higher RPM’s, all four valves per cylinder are activated. The 2014 Interceptor also features traction control. Along with ABS, this will give you much better handling and overall performance in poor riding conditions. It has fuel capacity of 5.2 gallons.
